Today, fewer small claims are
commercially viable in the Courts.
Back in April 2013, the threshold for small claims rose from £5,000 to £10,000. And in accordance with the rules for small claims cases, the winning party is rarely able to recover their legal costs.
These costs can so easily escalate and become disproportionate to the damages sought. Mediation is often the only affordable option.
Our 3-hour mediation service is a good fit for small claims.
The session can be arranged at our mediation suites in Chelmsford Essex, or at a neutral venue to suit, and fees are as follows:
- A 3 hour mediation starts at £400 + VAT per party.
- Should a full day’s mediation be required, then fees start at £750 + VAT per party.
